Embrace Your Personal Freedom

"The Motivation Manifesto" is a powerful call to claim our personal power. Brendon Burchard, a world-renowned high-performance trainer, delves into the core motive of humankind: the pursuit of greater personal freedom. This book is more than just a guide; it's a manifesto for those yearning to liberate themselves from the constraints that hold them back.Burchard posits that our deepest desire is to attain grand liberties—freedoms of choice, time, emotion, social interactions, finances, and spirituality. He identifies two primary enemies that stand in our way. The external enemy is the societal pressure exerted by the "mediocre masses," while the internal enemy is the self-oppression born from our own doubts and fears. The journey to personal freedom, Burchard asserts, is won by declaring our intent and independence. This requires us to step into our personal power, confront self-doubt, and navigate daily distractions until we achieve full victory. By invoking the revolutionary voices of the past who chose freedom over tyranny, Burchard inspires us to shed our fears and reclaim our lives. In this transformative book, Burchard presents nine declarations for personal power and motivation. These declarations are rooted in his personal experiences and the lives of some of history's greatest leaders and thinkers. Each chapter is dedicated to one of the nine declarations, offering practical strategies and exercises to help readers apply these principles in their own lives.Whether you are looking to overcome self-doubt, boost your confidence, or achieve your goals, "The Motivation Manifesto" serves as an invaluable guide. Burchard's inspiring message and actionable advice provide a roadmap for unlocking your full potential. This bestselling book is a must-read for anyone seeking to unleash their inner greatness through determination, resilience, and an empowering mindset. With its compelling narrative and practical insights, "The Motivation Manifesto" stands as a testament to the human spirit's capacity for growth and liberation. Burchard's work is a beacon of hope and empowerment, encouraging readers to embrace their personal freedom and live their best lives.

An amazingly excellent book written by Brendon

I pre-ordered the e-book before it's launch on Amazon.com (as per the mail by Brendon). For the pre-orders, Brendon provided a free on-line course of The Motivation Manifesto. Online course was video content of the book read and explained by Brendon himself.About the book: An amazingly excellent book written by Brendon. It is as good as having a one-on-one conversation with a very well known friend on various aspects of life. His articulation was astoundingly simple with a neat flair of pin pointing the things that we wrongly create for ourselves. While reading the book, I was internally questioning myself - IS this something that I got it wrong or did I neglect it somewhere? Often at times we, on the run for job or other stuff, we try do neglect few things that matters the most. Be it saying "Thank You Dear" or a simple smile or a big hug or other acts of our kindness. We buy ourselves into a trance of believing the fact, that others will understand our intentions. On contrast, even others are also engaged in a similar way. We hardly have time to sit and reflect on our higher goals or aspiration or even dreams. If you are stuck at any such juncture, THE MOTIVATION MANIFESTO is for you!One chapter that I read, re-read and recommend is - SLOW TIME. Brendon demonstrates that a simple 2-second pause in any of your actions will bring change to you, to your family and to your situations. It was an eye opener. Truly, this is an amazing book that I have invested my time+money that gave more returns to me - personally & professionally.Thank you Brendon and Team for such a brilliant work.

A life, your life, waiting to be lived....

Summary -It's not a book. It's not a story. It's your life told in painful and beautiful honesty. The manifesto is more than just motivation, it's a call to enliven the recipe of your life. To add old ingredients you've forgotten and to try new ingredients you've never experienced. To never stop experimenting in your quest to live the fullest life you are capable of.It is simultaneously aggravating and invigorating. You want to not believe so many of the concessions you've made in your life and so many of the excuses you've allowed yourself to use. Yet at the same time you sense it drawing you into a new picture. One where you perceive your past as a learning experience and allow yourself to confront the lesser parts of you and declare them no longer needed. A picture more vibrant in composition and color where balance is not achieved, it simply flows with the paint. You are once more reminded that you are the master and your life the masterpiece. Your destiny is of your own choosing, so chose wisely.Experience-I typically read a book in a day or two, but I found myself struggling through parts that were painful and I had to put the book down to regroup. Only to pick it up later and experience the same issues again. There are so many areas that I will need to revisit in the future. This will take it's place in my re-read list and I believe it will not be taken off. At least until I find myself living every moment of my life to the fullest.

The real deal!

Before Oct of 2014 I knew nothing about Brendon Burchard. Then I saw him speak at an event in Phoenix Arizona. When he came on stage the crowd erupted as if it were a rock concert! I thought, wow, who is this guy? Over the next hour and a half I listened as Brendon not only spoke on the topic of practical steps to build online businesses but on inspiration and methods to achieve high performance. He was very impressive and mind you I don’t say that lightly as I am not easily impressed, not by a long shot. So I stared to check out some of his material and could easily see that he deeply cares about not only the quality of product he puts out but more important the impact it has on those who come in contact with his material. Being a student of the self-help genre I when I received notice that his new book “The Motivational Manifesto” was coming out I again was a little skeptical.Brendon will tell you he has a belief in over delivering and I tell you he has unequivocally over delivered in this book. There are no personal stories by Brendon though he has several compelling stories that have occurred in his life. There are no stories of the experiences of other people overcoming various trials in life. There is no selling of any of his programs or anything about building online businesses. This volume is simply, plainly and so succinctly filled with line after line of different way of thinking. A different way of looking at life. When referencing his research to write this book he talks about studying history’s revolutionary writings and scholars. Although you certainly get the tone of the historical rhetoric it is not in such a way as to rally the war cries of the populace or the government per se but more so for rising above mediocrity and taking charge of one’s own life! It is about forging ahead in life with the God given talents we are all born with but forgot or killed along the way. Now, before anyone starts rolling their eyes about how gushy this review is sounding, I’ll remind you of my statement earlier. I am not easily impressed. Raised the son of a career Army veteran and me being a retired Navy submarine vet I’ve seen and heard from my share of impressive leaders in life and can smell a fake a mile away. Having a military mindset I am naturally skeptical of everything and assess everything from the angle someone has with the message or product they are selling every time. I’ve read many books in my life time (leaders are readers) and will read many more as long as I am graced to continue walking on this earth. The Motivation Manifesto is without a doubt in the top two for me. A book that will remain in my library and get reread at least once a year and reference whenever a need for inspiration or motivation arises.

This book will help you on your way

This book did for me what not very many self-help books have done. I need to admit up front that I'm a self-help junkie, a bit of a fanatic when it comes to finding out what others are doing or recommending we do to improve our health, happiness and overall well-being. I think like many others I came to this topic after going through a fair amount of depression or experiences that made me feel like I was a victim of life's circumstances. Luckily, I have also the wisdom to realize that life is what we make it and we don't have to live like victims.I give this book 5 stars because in my opinion it covers all the areas in life that I personally recognize have been challenges, where I get stuck in a place of negative thinking. The book doesn't just review those areas, but offers a clear way to get out of your own way if you find yourself stuck in those areas.Take, for example, when you live "checked out" of life, when you're not present, when you're letting life's experiences pass you by because you're so focussed on something (work, money, worries about tomorrow or yesterday). The author offers this wisdom: "The present is all there is." Meditating on that thought alone can bring you back to the present moment, it can shift your thinking from tomorrow and yesterday to right now. There's no magic here, it's just offering a different way of viewing one's life and one's thoughts. It's powerful, but it's not pixie dust and that's what the author is good at getting at. It will require your effort. No one can fix your thoughts but you and you're willingness to do so.I will be referring to this book again and again. I have underlined a vast number of sentences of wisdom and suggestions. I think in all of my own life's scenarios, this book will be my guide. I thank Brendon Burchard for his dedication to the idea that we all deserve "a seat at the table of joy and personal power."If you're looking for a quick-fix solution to be more motivated in your life, this book isn't it. If you're looking for a long-term way to think about yourself and your life in a way that helps you to maintain a fully lived life, this book could be one of the best ones to help you along your way.

Majestic. Incredibly brave. A rare gem.

Brendon actually shows up to usher you to the next level of living your life, a life well lived. He reinvents and invigorates the word ‘motivation’ with its original intention and meaning, and then layers in his passion and joy and transcends it all through such well thought out plainly stated language. The Motivation Manifesto makes getting real and honest with yourself a priority. In a world where it seems everything conspires for more money, more power, more information, this book is truly a wake-up call – a gentle, loving and warm wakeup call. Brendon approaches this content with a burning energy to love and serve, and a gentleness and openness that invites the meekest or most powerful to hear his deeply valuable messaging. He is so real and engaged, you can’t help but to be drawn into his impassioned storytelling, so grounded and founded, he’s truly a delight. This is the book that you have been hoping for. This is the book you’ve been wishing existed. This is the book that falls from the sky, from the Universe, its message so timeless and timely, and swoops down and gently wraps its warmth around you and lights your spirit up, plainly nudges your soul into action, and carries you like the perfect wave all powerful and supportive and along for the ride at once. I even want to say this book is brilliant, but my experience of it was so personal and revealing, I would rather just state that this book is a door on your journey, an initiation to your path, a confirmation of your intuitive longings, a guru to your suffering, the alchemy for your purpose, a rare gem in your lifetime of seeking thus far.

This Is More than MOTIVATION - It's Your Life Guide

Here is my suggestion to you. Don't buy this book. No really. Instead, click on the LOOK INSIDE icon on the left side yo. Read the table of contents. Read the Albert Einstein quote. And read Brendon's "Declaration of Personal Power." Then read it again. And again. Then...think back on that table of contents, go back to the 'Declaration' AGAIN, and then ponder how the rest of the book is organized, including the subsequent nine declarations. Heck, write down your OWN thoughts in each of these nine areas. There is some very profound thinking, structure, organization, logic and content in this book. Arguably, it's a great 'operating system' to live by. So yes, of course BUY THE BOOK for the measly 10 bucks it will cost you.All that said, after a second reading of this book, a couple of things are not sitting well with me.1) I regard Brendon's writing tone as uncharacteristically blunt. While I understand that unlike his other books this one is a "manifesto," I'm bothered by some unnecessary language. For example, why refer to people as IDIOTS...not once, but multiple times? In 2011 when I saw Brendon 'live,' he opined that "everybody is doing the best they're capable of." And so if this is the case, why is ANYONE an idiot? I don't know, but for me, if I'm trying to 'up' my game and performance, part of that means accepting people for who they are, particularly if we are all connected, as Brendon implies in this book. It doesn't mean I have to spend time with or listen to them. But if I'm calling someone an idiot, I'm intimating that I'm somehow 'better' than they are. This doesn't feel very "Hay House" (new publisher) to me.2) Again, while I understand this is a manifesto...perhaps some of us have different definitions of how to optimally apply MOTIVATION. We are not all going to conquer the world, create amazing new businesses, etc. For some of us, our WIN will be in becoming a better father and better husband with behavior that is more consistent, positive, stable, and dependable. Is that not a divine "purpose?" Is that not worth sitting in one's house for a few hours every day filled with mundane activities like LAUNDRY and COOKING? Or does this make us lazy and slothful? Hmmmmm.......In summary, this is a profound and worthwhile read because it can help one restructure how they compose their thought processes and their lives. Yet, as with anything, apply a nice filter so that you can accept that which is most meaningful for you, versus treating the Brendons of the world as your personal guru. I'm sure he doesn't want that. And you don't either.
