Great product except for the fixed hourly slots for daily pages.

I waited until I am on my last week of using this journal as I've used it for 2.5 months now. I am a HPX fan and believe in its principles. The daily questions are a great routine to priming my mindset and acting as great reminders throughout my day. My only problem is with the daily pages due to the fixed hourly slots. Brendan - if you can read this, please allow us to fill in the time as you do monthly pages. I start my day at 4:30 and wish I could document my day beginning from there.

Must Buy! Great Gift!

Got my year supply of HPP yesterday, and I’m so excited!I love how it’s directly inline with High Performance Habits the book.It has a spot for everything - brain dump, notes, space for every hour for time blocking or appointments, HPH questions AM AND PM to keep focused, the weekly review that Brendon does himself (which I always forgot to do before), and a space for the month and monthly goals. Two months in one book is awesome! And you can’t beat the price. The only con (personally): the day starts at 6am and ends at 7:30, but my day starts at 5am (sometimes 4am) and ends at 9pm or 10pm. There is blank space above 6 and space below 7:30, so I can add in, but would love to see next round of planners start at 5am and go to 8pm, and makes the notes section smaller. And a lay flat spin would be beyond awesome!Also- you can’t beat the price for the quality!!

An incredible and life changing planner!

I never write reviews, but feel obligated to do so for this planner. It has changed my life! After being recommended from a friend, I watched a lot of videos and did a lot of research on it. I had a planner and a journal system that I felt worked well. This planner has taken everything to a level I did not know existed inside of me!!It is intimidating at first to say the least. I thought there was no way I could do the morning as well as nighttime routine as a part of this especially with 3 small kids and going through the holidays. What I have found is that I enjoyed the holidays (and everyday) more since starting this planner. The daily questions really gets your wheels turning on what is important and what is not. During the first week, I started identifying some of my tendencies toward being lazy or negative. This planner helps you get out of that quickly and also keeps you aware of 1 day at time but building towards long term goals.I find that I answer many of the questions in the same way and this has helped me in a few ways. 1) the morning routine for me now takes no more then 20 mins. I look forward to getting up early and doing this as it centers me. 2) the repetition has become a mantra in a way of the goals and things that are important to me, even if I can't work towards them that day.Just so grateful for my friend introducing this to me and being willing and able to take a chance on making a change.Chris

These Planners are a Lifesaver!

The High Performance Planner keep you on track for your daily goals and allow you to create objectives to complete each day whether you are working or have a day off.I am a full time mom and work full time so it was a struggle for me to keep myself and my family organized then the COVID-19 hit and I needed someone to balance my life. I found these planners and they definitely saved my life! I even gave one to my middle school-aged daughter which has helped her keep on track for school while she was completing school at home. I gave one to my videographer/assistant and it has helped her create new goals for work and personal life and she has been less stressed ever since.Get you, your friends, and family one of these planners and watch your life quickly get organized.

Great for implementing High Performance Habits; don't expect a typical calendar

I notice many of the reviews here don't understand why this planner exists or how it is intended to use. This is a niche planner, not a general planner designed to compete against other typical planners. This is a "self-assessment" planner designed to cultivate mindfulness centered around Brendon's High Performance Habits concepts. It encodes the daily, weekly, and monthly practices enumerated in his book, High Performance Habits. It explicitly does not try to provide the same "analog calendar" features and approach as most other planners. If you don't subscribe to the High Performance Habits model of working, then this planner will just seem tedious, frustrating, and weirdly arranged.I was also initially confused by why the monthly calendar pages were in the middle of the book, and not the beginning, but Brendon has a video (High Performance Planner Review. Dec 4, 2018) that describes his intention for each of the pages and how they are meant to be used. The monthly pages are at the end of a month because they aren't meant to be canonical references. They are intended to be used as preparatory reflections after having established daily and weekly habits (a bottom up approach to mindfulness). They aren't meant to be constantly referred back to. They are there as a prompt for "setting up the next month" in your headspace, assuming that there is a separate, probably digital, calendar containing all of the planned events and blocks of time that can be used as a canonical reference. So, once you have done that, you sort of "discard" the page, and you don't carry it around with you during that month to reference. Instead, it sort of sits in your head informing your month moving forward, but without actually being intended to sit in your daily planner that you carry around with you. This is really what makes this planner distinct. It's meant to be filled out more like a journal, page by page, as a means of internalizing your schedule, blocks of time, intention, and overall habits through the physical act of writing, rather than as the "reference" for all of your appointments and to do's. It's a very different model of how to engage with a planner, why a planner exists, and so forth. Much like the GTD Organizer would seem strange to someone who isn't focusing on a Getting Things Done model of working, the High Performance Planner is going to feel strange for anyone who isn't operating based on the High Performance Habits model. In short, this is a gem of a planner if you are committed to applying the recommended practices of Brendon's High Performance Habits concept, but it is not a typical planner in design or intended use, and it will feel weird for anyone who isn't approaching it from a HPX perspective.

Usage Report Day 1

This morning was my first day using the High Performance planner and I already felt the difference. Being able to approach my day with the focused intentionality that this planner encourages, made me feel three times as effective at work. Sure I felt the normal drag when I got home, but that was more about losing my focus than it was anything else, and with a bit more practice I can easily see this thing making a huge difference in my life.As I was initially looking over the planner, I noticed that it only blocked out a 14 hour section of your day to schedule. Initially I wondered why they would limit it to just the 14 hour section they did, then I realized that part of being a High performer is taking time to rest and recharge and even giving yourself some unscheduled time each day along with getting a proper amount of sleep, and the idea that a planner could, by design, encourage that, is awesome.

This review is about the planner, not of Brendon Burchard or his other products.

I wish I could give three and a half stars. Three stars is too little. Four stars is too much.Looking at the other reviews of this item, I realize that a lot of people are reviewing Brendon Burchard, not this planner. I ordered the one year set to break up and give as gifts. Started exploring my copy as soon as I received them. The book is made with good quality paper, bindings, and cover. Lots of writing prompts! Everyday, every week, every month, reviewing your goals, and your steps toward those goal. Awesome! However, it is undated, with a place for the date to be written in at the top of each daily page. I started writing the date and then the day of the week at the top of each page and soon came to realize how tedious it was. And time consuming. Each planner book ONLY contains two one-month calendars, which on the surface doesn’t sound unreasonable. EXCEPT: One calendar is half way through (at the beginning of the second month of this two-month planner) and another calendar at the end. There Is No Calendar at the beginning of the planner. I’ve had to print out a blank calendar page to tuck into the front cover so I have the current month to look at. The One-Month Calendar at the end of the daily pages has a header that indicates it is a way to plan the next month (for the next book in the system). I would need to make a copy of that calendar to tuck into the front of the next planner. Or plan to carry two of them at any given time. The book is not light or flexible which is not a bad thing. Carrying more than one copy of the planner plus a personal journal everywhere can had heft to my computer bag for traveling.Brendon says you have to put your product out there in order to perfect it. Maybe this is still a work in progress. Except for the two items listed above it is a great planner.
